Mandatory evacuation orders Ventura neighborhoods of Clear Point and Ondulando to be lifted
Mandatory evacuation orders for the neighborhoods of Clear Point and Ondulando will be lifted effective Saturday 12/16/17 at 10:00am (Police escorts will no longer be necessary). During the first 24 hours of reentry only residents will be permitted to enter these neighborhoods at the checkpoints of Victoria Ave. and Foothill Road and Kimball Road and Foothill Road.
Proof of residency is required at the checkpoint. Residents are asked to have their proof of residency ready upon arrival to help expedite the process. Proof of residency includes but is not limited to such items as a driver’s license, utility bill, bank statement or car registration.
On 12/17/17 at 10:00am friends, family, insurance adjusters and anyone deemed appropriate by the residents of these neighborhoods will be permitted to enter with a resident escort. The resident must accompany anyone they choose to bring into the neighborhood.
These restrictions on reentry are to help protect the impacted neighborhoods.
Except for residents of the following areas the curfew remains in effect during the hours of 10:00pm to 5:00am. for the Hidden Valley, Skyline, Clearpoint, and Ondulando neighborhoods.
The Local Assistance Center continues to be available for residents impacted by the Thomas Fire. The center is located at the Poinsettia Pavilion located at 3451 Foothill Road in Ventura Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for the next two weeks, and longer if necessary.
