May 8th is VE Day

VE Day is the day we celebrate Victory in Europe during World War 2. With Hitler dead and American and Russian troops overrunning Berlin, the German High Command finally signed an unconditional surrender on May 8th in Berlin. Though we still had to fight on in the Pacific, the Victory in Europe was still a momentous day and celebrated all around the country.

Today we continue to celebrate VE Day as a reminder of the millions of Americans who sacrificed so much to fight the evil Nazi regime and their allies. WW2 vets and their families are gathering for parades, remembrances or other ceremonies around the country.

Take part in the celebrations or at least spend some time thinking about the monumental conflict and the people who fought so hard to keep America and the whole world free from tyranny.”

But some people are clueless about this and could care less.

I couldn’t get my shift covered at the bar so I compromised by asking my manager if I could go on the roof and shoot photos.  Check them out Dad.  This was SOOOOO amazing.  I thought you would like these .
