The policies of U.S. intervention in many of the central and south american countries is well documented. Governments have been overthrown due to U.S. intervention. Destabilization of democratic governments either by political or economic decisions by the U.S. created many of the situations which we are now seeing the impact.

Good point, but most has nothing to do with that. In other cases, what they were fighting was even worse, but yeah, US often screws things up. Iran, Libya, Egypt, all good examples,

With all the publicity about family separation, it is hard for me to believe that these folks are just showing up. I feel there must be some motivating (money) force that is creating the problem. What normal parent willing places their children in the situation that Obama started? I’ve always been taught to follow the money, so my question is: What group or person is providing the funds that motivate these folks to show up and suffer the “indignities” that they then undergo? It certainly isn’t the hope of a better life. Who trades freedom for family separation, uncertainty and incarceration?
