Memo to Community: Simi Valley Police seeking burglary and attempted sexual assault suspect.
On October 23, 2014, at approximately 1:53 PM, Simi Valley Police Officers and Detectives responded to the 2300 block of Clover St. regarding a burglary and attempted sexual assault that had occurred within the past several minutes. It was eventually determined that a suspect wearing a mask confronted an adult female resident who was home alone. The suspect attempted to sexually assault the resident before suddenly fleeing from the location. The suspect was only described as a male, unknown race, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing dark clothing. An area search for the suspect by numerous Simi Valley Police personnel, including two K-9 units and a Ventura County Sheriff’s helicopter, was unsuccessful in locating the suspect.
