On Monday, November 30th the Oxnard Fire Department lost a member of its family, Fire Captain Scott Carroll. CarrolScottCaptScott was with the Oxnard family for almost 20 years and was an integral part of the fire department.  He was an individual that cared deeply for the men and women of the department. A simple example of his caring was his willingness to step in for those mandated to work holidays or other important events.  He was always there to help relieve someone else so they could be with their family, even at the expense of his own. This showed the true character of Scott.

Scott is the son of retired Oxnard Firefighter Doug Carroll and he is survived by his wife Tracy, son Michael and Daughter Rylee.  You are welcome to attend the memorial services for Scott on Tuesday, December 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.  Please keep the entire Carroll family in your thoughts and prayers.

Captain Carroll left the station for his personal physician’s office and then home to rest where, two days later, on November 30, 2015, he was found by his wife having suffered a fatal brain aneurysm.
Our condolences to the Carroll Family & Friends, City of Oxnard Fire Department and to all affected by Fire Captain Scott Carroll’s passing.
