Los Angeles – Today, Metrolink announced that on Thursday, July 4, Independence Day, it will operate its Sunday schedule, so travelers can get around the system easily and take advantage of the $10 Holiday ticket for unlimited rides for the day.

Metrolink offers direct service to destinations such as Los Angeles Union Station, Downtown Riverside, San Clemente Pier, San Juan Capistrano and Oceanside along with easy connections to attractions such as Disneyland, Hollywood, Old Pasadena and the Santa Monica Pier. A valid Metrolink ticket allows free transfer to OCTA buses along with the Metro bus and rail system in Los Angeles County and many other transit partners.

The 4th of July schedule includes service on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, Inland Empire-Orange County and the 91/Perris Valley lines, excluding the four stations of the Perris Valley extension.

The $10 Holiday ticket can be purchased on the Metrolink app, or at ticket vending machines at Metrolink stations under “special ticket options.” Riders on July 4 can also purchase one-way or round-trip tickets for destinations that offer a fare less than $10. Regular weekday fare applies to Friday, July 5.

The popular Rail 2 Rail® Program, which allows Metrolink monthly passholders to travel on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains within station pairs of their pass at no additional cost, will be in effect on July 4.
