    Metrolink Seeking Public Input on Title VI Policies and Plans, 2020 Budget

    LOS ANGELES – The Metrolink Board of Directors has directed staff to initiate a public outreach process to update its Title VI policies, along with the agency’s Public Participation and Limited English Proficiency Access plans. Metrolink seeks to create opportunities for inclusion and engagement with the community by inviting the public to review and provide feedback on the policies and revisions.

    The public can review and provide feedback on the following proposed policies and plans:

    –     Disparate Impact/Disproportionate Burden Policies-Fare Changes,

    –     Disparate Impact/Disproportionate Burden Policy-Service Changes,

    –     Major Service Change Policy,

    –     Public Participation Plan and the

    –     Limited English Proficiency Access Plan.

    Metrolink is also seeking public input on its Fiscal Year 2019-20 Annual Budget.

    A public meeting will take place on Thursday between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Union Station Conference Room of the Metro Building located at One Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles. The meeting, which will be held on the third floor of the Metro Building, will begin with a presentation in English, following by a presentation in Spanish at 6:30 p.m. 

    For those who cannot attend the public meeting in person, Metrolink invites the community to participate through Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/metrolink.

    Additionally, the public can review documents related to these items online at www.metrolinktrains.com/publichearing. The community can provide feedback at www.metrolinktrains.com/ecomments. Survey responses must be received no later than June 13.

    The public comment period will end on Friday, June 14 prior to a public hearing as part of the Metrolink Board of Directors meeting, while staff will share the results of the outreach efforts on that day.
