Metrolink Ticket Vending Machines To Stop Selling Amtrak Tickets

LOS ANGELES – Beginning January 1, 2018, Amtrak riders will no longer be able to purchase or print Amtrak tickets on Metrolink Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs).
Amtrak tickets will be available for purchase online through Amtrak’s website, on mobile devices through Amtrak’s app and in person at Amtrak stations.
There are no changes to the Rail 2 Rail program, which allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders along the Orange and Ventura County corridor to travel on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains at no additional charge.
Additionally, there are no changes to Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Monthly Pass holders, Amtrak 10-Trip tickets, Metrolink tickets for Amtrak or Metrolink trains that operate between Burbank-Bob Hope Airport and Los Angeles Union Station on the Ventura County Line, or for Shared Service trains (A768 and A761) on the Ventura County Line.
