Miami Dolphins to train in Oxnard!

Mayor and Councilmembers,

As you are aware, the State of Florida is preparing for Hurricane Irma.  As a result of this hurricane, the Miami Dolphins need a training facility for a few days.  We have just been informed that the Miami Dolphins will be coming to Oxnard on Tuesday, September 12th for 4 days to prepare for their game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Because of the short visit, the Miami Dolphins’ practice will not be open to the public.  Staff is finalizing the agreement and I expect to sign it today.

If you have any questions, I am available to discuss.
