The YMCA’s Youth & Government students will be selling pumpkins for pumpkin decorating. Food and beverages will be available for purchase including beer and wine tasting at Village Trader. Adults and kids are encouraged to dress in their best Halloween costume. At 7:00 p.m., an outdoor movie (“Spooky Buddies”) will be shown.
A “Trunk or Treat” is part of the festival. Residents can decorate their cars or trucks, come to the festival and then hand out supplied candy to trick or treaters (kids 13 and under). Trick or treaters vote on the best decorated vehicles. Winners will receive gift cards to Target. There is a $25 entry fee.
“The event is grown into a wonderful community event,” says Katie Beck. “It’s a great night out for families and allows everyone to be creative and a little bit goofy.”
Those attending can drop off new or gently used children’s’ clothing at the event. The Ventura County Foster Parent Association will distribute the clothing to foster kids throughout Ventura County.
