Moorpark, Oxnard and Ventura College present Cash4College workshops, February 11
Financial Aid Staff to assist students and parents complete FAFSA, Dream Act and Chafee applications
The Financial Aid Offices at Moorpark, Oxnard and Ventura College will each host FAFSA/CA Dream Act and Chafee application workshops simultaneously on their prospective college campuses Saturday, February 11, 2017, 9am to 2pm. Moorpark College (7075 Campus Road, Moorpark, CA); Oxnard College (4000 South Rose Avenue, Oxnard, CA); and Ventura College (4667 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA) have reserved classrooms and computer labs on each campus for applicants to meet and consult with financial aid advisors. The events are free and open to the public.
Ventura County community colleges are joining together, once again, to provide Ventura County residents an opportunity to complete their financial aid applications for 2017-2018. According to Bernardo Perez, board chair, Ventura County Community College District, “Students and their families will have the opportunity to apply for financial aid at any of the three colleges in the district regardless of which college they plan to attend in 2017-2018.”
“Students and parents are encouraged to attend to learn about the important changes to the FAFSA process for 2017-18,” said Alma Rodriguez, financial aid officer at Ventura College. “Applicants will now report income and tax information from an earlier tax year; this will make linking to tax information from the IRS much easier.”
