Moorpark Police seek hit and run driver

abortion arial, recipe sans-serif;”>On Tuesday, physician December 8, 2015 at approximately 12:29pm, deputies from the Moorpark Police Department responded to an injury traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a blue Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. The collision occurred on Arroyo Drive east of Collins Drive in the City of Moorpark.

During the investigation, deputies learned the motorcyclist was riding westbound on Arroyo Drive when the eastbound blue Volkswagen made a U-turn in front of the motorcyclist, causing both vehicles to collide. During the collision the motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained injuries. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the blue Volkswagen did not stop at the scene as required by law and fled westbound on Arroyo Drive towards Collins Drive prior to law enforcement and EMS arriving on scene.
