Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release
On 04/11/2020 at about 0015, Deputies from the Moorpark Police Station responded to single vehicle traffic collision in the 200 block of Poindexter Avenue. A vehicle driven by a male subject was travelling eastbound on Poindexter Avenue when the vehicle left the roadway and collided into a tree resulting in a fire. When the fire was extinguished, deputies and firefighters discovered the occupants of the vehicle were deceased.
At this time, the identity of the occupants is unknown and the Ventura County Medical Examiners is working to identify the occupants and notify the next of kin.
It is unknown why the vehicle left the road and collided into the tree. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is encouraged to contact Moorpark Traffic Investigator Deputy James Cochran at the Moorpark Police Station.
