Motorcyclist serverly injured in accident – Ventura

venturapdThe Ventura Police Department Command Center received several 9-1-1 calls regarding a vehicle versus motorcyclist traffic collision on Palma Dr at Market St. in the City of Ventura.

Officers arrived on scene and located the traffic collision on Palma Dr south of Valentine Rd. This collision occurred between a Saab vehicle and a Suzuki motorcycle. Due to the severity of the collision, vialis 40mg the Ventura Police Department Traffic Unit responded to assist in conducting this investigation.

After a preliminary investigation and witness statements it appears that the motorcyclist (Male 33 years old) was traveling southbound Palma Dr. from Valentine Rd. The motorcyclist was traveling at speeds great enough to cause a power wheelie affecting the front end of the motorcycle to lift up off the roadway.

The driver of the Saab (Female 64 years old) was exiting a private parking lot onto Palma Dr and negotiated a left turn in front of the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist attempted to avoid the vehicle and struck the front end causing him to fall of the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was transported to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries. The driver of the Saab vehicle was not injured and released at the scene. The collision is still under investigation to determine if other factors played a role in the accident.
