Shawn Michael Shirck (DOB 2-23-94), of Ojai, has been charged with two counts of murder, including special allegations that he personally used a knife, for the deaths of Margaret Dahl of Oak View and Phyllis Porter of Georgia.
On August 24, 2019, Ms. Dahl and Ms. Porter were fatally stabbed inside a residence on Valley Ridge Street in Oak View. After investigation by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Shirck was arrested on August 25, 2019.
Shirck appeared in court on August 27, 2019, and his arraignment was continued to September 18, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 13 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Shirck is currently in custody at the Ventura County jail with bail set at $1,080,000.
