Narcotics Sales Arrest in Oxnard

On September 11, 2020, the Oxnard Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and the Ventura Street Crimes Narcotics Unit (SCU) concluded a narcotics sales investigation regarding Jose Zavala, a 45 year old Oxnard resident, and Mario Torralva, 37 year old Oxnard resident, selling Methamphetamine in the Rose Park Neighborhood in the City of Oxnard. During the investigation, Detectives authored and obtained a search warrant for Zavala, Torralva, and the residence. With the assistance of Oxnard Patrol Officers, DEU and SCU Detectives conducted a traffic stop on Zavala and served a search warrant at the residence. Officer located three bags containing Methamphetamine and a large quantity of US Currency on his person at the traffic stop.

DEU and SCU Detectives contacted Torralva in front of the residence and found him in possession of six bags of Methamphetamine and US Currency consistent with street sales of Methamphetamine. During a search of the residence, detectives located 32 more bags of methamphetamine, a scale, packaging material, and US Currency consistent with street level drug sales. Zavala was charged with possession for sales of Methamphetamine and transportation of Methamphetamine, both felonies. Torralva was charged with possession for sales of Methamphetamine, a felony.
