National Security Failure: Never, Ever… Again

Hand-wringing and finger-pointing followed the news that a California woman was murdered (“allegedly”) by a five-time deportee released onto the streets of San Francisco by a city government determined to write its own immigration laws.
The Obama Administration has tacitly supported “Sanctuary Cities” such as San Francisco, wherein the rule is non-cooperation with the Federal Immigration authorities. These cities advertise “sanctuary” to any and all illegal immigrants who manage to get there.
What that means is: Sanctuary from the American system of laws.
With the tragic, and completely avoidable, death of a young American woman, Kathyrn Steinle, the supporters of “sanctuary” policies are desperate to appear as though they were not actually complicit.
Obama’s head weasel-worder, Josh Not-Earnest, insisted the problem was that Republicans failed to cough up enough money to properly secure the border. (So… this guy’s committed seven felonies, and been deported five times, all since Republicans took control of Congress six months ago?)
Meanwhile, California’s Democrat Senators seem unaware that San Francisco’s Sanctuary policy has been in place during the entire time they’ve held public office. Dianne Feinstein says, “…I am looking at whether additional federal legislation may be necessary” while Barbara Boxer demands Governor Brown determine “… whether the law needs to be strengthened to ensure that a tragedy like this never happens again.”
Really? Since existing laws are ignored – the whole point of “Sanctuary” policies – why would more laws have a different outcome?
The Obama Administration’s refusal to “faithfully execute” the duties of office and uphold the laws of the United States – or even to abide by them – is its own tragedy. And this is not the first American life lost because ObamaCrew failed its responsibilities. Indeed, this incident reflects the more fundamental failing of the Obama Administration to protect and secure the nation as a whole.
We don’t even have a southern border – ISIS could walk right in. Russia’s influence is expanding, to the detriment of our NATO allies. China is fast becoming the dominant power in the Pacific.
And Iran will soon be the most dangerous nuclear threat on the planet, with ObamaCrew being, at the very least, complicit patsies in this outrageous turn.
Sadly, such Presidential stupidity has happened before.
Back in the 1990’s, then-President Clinton negotiated an “agreement” which outlined a “framework” to “guarantee” a non-nuclear future for tiny North Korea. “North Korea will freeze and then dismantle its nuclear program,” said Clinton; and “The entire world will be safer…”
But the plutonium plant in question wasn’t even hooked up to North Korea’s power grid. Destroying it would have had zero impact on North Korea’s population. Why didn’t Clinton simply eliminate the threat, rather than fanning it?
Twelve years later, North Korea detonated its first nuclear device. It now has an estimated 15-20 nuclear warheads, and an ICBM program designed – perhaps destined – to deliver those bombs to mainland United States. Clinton’s “deal” served up the world’s first Nuclear Nuts, the Kim Jongs, father and son.
Now Obama is negotiating furiously to accomplish a similar “guarantee” with Iran. Never mind that it didn’t work the last time – Obama assures us he’s going to make sure that Iran never, ever gets a nuclear bomb!
(At least, not while he’s still a prime target…)
Why should we listen to anything this guy says? He’s done nothing but lie to the American people: Most transparent Administration ever? ObamaCare will be negotiated on CSPAN? He doesn’t know who Gruber is, but you can keep your Doctor and save $2500 in premiums? Your $Trillion in taxes will fund those shovel-ready jobs and jump-start the economy? ISIL is just a JV team, and he will “degrade and destroy” them? Iraq and Yemen are foreign policy successes? Our borders are the “most secure they’ve ever been”?
He vows to uphold the Constitution, and “faithfully execute” the laws of the United States?
Yeah.
Nuclear Iran
Obama has promised, repeatedly, that this “deal” with Iran will guarantee they do not get a nuclear weapon; and that he will “walk away” from any bad deal. He will keep these promises in precisely the same way he has kept all his previous promises.
There will be a “deal.” An exceedingly bad one. Obama, Kerry, Pelosi and the Democrats – and of course, Hillary – will be crowing from the highest heights, singing Obama’s praises, demanding a second Nobel Peace prize for him, and maybe another for Kerry.
And it really won’t matter whether Congress grows the backbone to oppose it, or wilts into the nuclear winds. Iran will become a nuclear nation at some point in the not-very-distant future, deal or no deal. All they care about is getting the U.S. to lift the sanctions so they can get more money to fund more terrorism.
The only question is: Will Iran build a fleet of ICBMs with which to threaten all their neighbors, Israel and the U.S.? Or will they just send tactical nukes around the globe in the backpacks of ISIS suicide-volunteers?
If you want to know where it will be safe to live: Just move next door to Obama. He’ll know where the bombs aren’t going.
Or so he thinks.
If only Democrats had done their hand-wringing and soul-searching the first time their Presidential hero had delivered a “deal” that turned out to be a pig-in-a-poke. If only they had demanded of themselves that time: “What can we do to be certain this never, ever happens again?”
If only.
