VENTURA, Calif. – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced that charges were filed against Brennan Paul Post (DOB 06/11/89), of Newbury Park, for the shooting death of a family member.
Post is facing one count of murder with the special allegation that he personally discharged a firearm for the shooting death of his sister, Cassidy Snow (DOB 10/22/97).
Cassidy Snow was shot on February 17, 2023, at the Newbury Park home she shared with her brother Post, along with their mother and Post’s stepfather. Cassidy Snow died at the scene from her injuries. Post was arrested by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Senior Deputy District Attorney Courtney Lewis, a member of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office Major Crimes Unit, is the prosecutor handling the case.
Post’s arraignment was continued to March 22, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 13 of the Ventura County Superior Court. He remains in custody without bail.
