No on Ventura’s Measure O

Venturans for Responsible and Efficient Government (VREG) has not advocated for candidates or ballot measures in the past. This November, though, we’re breaking with that tradition. We’re taking a stand on a ballot measure. We oppose Measure O, Ventura’s half-cent sales tax increase.  It is a bad law.

The safety and welfare of our community relies on reasonable taxation. But, what do you do when politicians seek to impose new taxes and fees beyond what’s necessary? You must oppose it.

Measure O is regressive. It imposes an unfair burden on the average Ventura family. And, the City Council cannot guarantee how they will spend this extra $270,000,000. We must oppose it.

We formed No On Measure O, a political action committee (PAC) to oppose the measure. We urge you to join us. You can donate time, money or both. Contact us through our website, vregventura.org, or at [email protected]

Please make your financial contributions to “No On Measure O.” Address your envelope to Committee for No on Measure O, c/o Taylor, McCord, Praver & Cherry, 255 Maple Court, Suite 120, Ventura, CA 93003. Include your name, address and occupation if you contribute more than $99. If you’re retired and you contribute, please list your former occupation.
