Note to Readers: Citizens Journal Web Server Upgrade Schedule Completed 2-18-21 2:30 pm)

By George Miller, Publisher

EDITOR’S NOTE: Now completed. Please let us know of any glitches.

We will be upgrading the Citizens Journal web server for the fifth time in less than two years. The last ones were to upgrade capacity and reliability.

After record reader volume of 350,000+ in January and continuity concerns with AWS, we decided to move to a dedicated higher powered web server not under big-tech control.

If all goes well, the new server should be up and running Thursday.  Between 10 am and 2 pm, we will not be doing any postings during the switch. You should refrain from posting any comments during that period too, as they might get lost.

Thanks for your valued readership and support, without which we would not exist, nor have a reason to. By the way, we are always looking for new people to help us. Currently, we need help with news reporting, editing, operations, circulation, social media and IT. We have a paid sales position (ads and donations) as well. Contact [email protected] .
