October is National Crime Prevention Month

October is National Crime Prevention Month the purpose of which is to promote interest and enthusiasm for local crime prevention efforts. The Simi Valley Police Department would like to challenge the community to make crime prevention a priority and assist in making our community safer from crime and violence.

The Simi Valley Police Department strongly believes that community involvement in crime prevention plays a vital role in keeping our city safe. Police Officers cannot be on every corner, so community participation is vital. Business owners and residents must take an active role to protect themselves and their neighbors. The best crime-fighting tool is a good neighbor. Help keep neighborhoods safe from crime and prepared for any emergency.
