Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release
On March 5, 2020, deputies assigned to the Sheriff’s Ojai Patrol Station responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the Matilija Canyon, which is located in the unincorporated area of the Ojai Valley. Deputies contacted an adult victim and determined she had been violently assaulted. The investigation identified Jaden Pullen as the suspect responsible for her assault.
That same day, Pullen was located at his residence, arrested and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility. The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office subsequently filed several felony charges related to the sexual assault, as well as two non-sexual assault related felonies.
Further investigation revealed an additional victim who identified Pullen as a suspect in a separate, unrelated sexual assault. This victim was identified as a juvenile female.
