On 03/29/2016, at approximately 7:46 PM hours, a 72-year old female pedestrian and her hit-and-run-accidenthusband were walking south in the designated crosswalk at Ojai Avenue and Fox Street.  The driver of a vehicle failed to stop for the pedestrians and struck the female party.  The driver subsequently fled the scene in the vehicle.  The female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to the local hospital.

The collision is still under investigation by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office/Ojai Detectives.  Anyone who might have witnessed the collision or is aware of anyone that might have been involved in the collision is asked to contact the Ojai Police Department at (805) 646-1414 or e-mail Detective Hollowell at [email protected]
