    One City, One Church–Oxnard Serve Day 2019 (Oct. 12: 9 a.m. – 12 noon)

    One City, One Church–Oxnard Serve Day 2019 (Oct. 12, 2019) from 9 a.m. to 12 noon (free participation)Participants meet at New Life Community Church, 1251 N. Rice Avenue, Oxnard, CA 93030 (9 a.m.) to worship, pray and form teams before going out.

     

    During your registration, please select the project you desire.

    • Anywhere Needed
    • Homeless Ministry in downtown Oxnard with goods and encouragement
    • Coffee gift and encourage people on designated streets
    • Laundry quarters given with encouragement at a designated laundromat
    • Pray over the city and projects in a room at New Life.
    • Prayer Walk – Praying over the city while walking designated streets.
    • Painting schools or other public areas that need it. Wear painting clothes.
    • Flowers given with encouragement on designated streets
    • Water given with encouragement on designated streets
    • Beach Clean-up of trash off designated local beaches
    • Street/Park Clean-up of trash and abandoned items in designated streets, alleys and parks
    • Gabriel House general clean-up and maintenance at a shelter for women and children
    • Convalescent Home visitation, music, Bring children to interact, paint nails, etc
    • Rescue Mission general clean-up and maintenance at the VC Rescue Mission/Lighthouse
    • Truck/Trailer. Provide a truck/trailer and pick-up/deliver materials/trash for various projects
    • Event Setup. Come Early to setup whatever is necessary for Serve Day activities
    • Event Breakdown. Stay Late to breakdown whatever is necessary for Serve Day activities

    Come help our city!

    At least 14 churches are participating.  Some 700 have already registered to participate.  Event organizers believe 1,000 will participate to 60 different outreaches.

    There are many local Churches in Conejo Valley that ban together for such projects as well.

    Something that city and counties should take into account to not duplicate.
