If it bleeds it leads, an old maxim in journalism. Many outlets have reported that hundreds protested freshman congresswoman Illhan Omar’s Keynote speaking event at the Hilton Hotel in Woodland Hills CA. Further, some made it appear combative, where eyewitness accounts gave testament to a large number of well behaved supporters for the United States and Israel. An example of this didn’t even come from a left leaning publication but from the Washington Times: Hundreds protest outside Ilhan Omar CAIR speech., The lead photo shows an isolated confrontation.
The event being protested was a fundraiser for CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, an organization that has garnered its own criticism. Most recently the group has attempted to push hosts Judge Jeanie Pirro and Tucker Carlson off of the FOX lineup. Pirro was suspended for two weeks for comments that were “perceived” as anti-Islamic. The comments were given by the Judge Pirro, a former District Attorney, after Omar escaped censurer in the House of Representative where she serves for what many saw as anti-Semitic/anti-Israeli. The House instead of singling out Omar condemned all hate speech.
Please keep in mind that Woodland Hills is a heavily Jewish district, and Brad Sherman, who represents the area in Congress, expressed his disagreement/displeasure over Omar’s tweets and comments regarding Israel.
Many who attended the protest wore the Yellow Star of David that was forced on the Jews in Nazi occupied territory, people who were marked for extermination.
FOX was one of the outlets that underestimated the size of the crowd of protesters, Rep. Ilhan Omar faces hundreds of protesters outside CAIR fundraiser in California. Once again, photographer, Marc Langsam, gives validity to the claim there were close to one thousand opponents to Omar and CAIR gathered on the sidewalks opposite the Hilton Hotel.

Great to see that so many are out protesting Congresswoman Ilhan Omar at her speech for CAIR. Sadly anti-Semitism is becoming a major factor within the Democrat Party. It is profoundly tragic that we have in our Congress two women who were censured for their anti-Semitic and anti-Israel views, and yet they continue with their hate speech. This is dangerous and terrifying for all of us, and will destroy the Democrat Party.
According to photographer Marc Langsam 1000 opponents to Omar and CAIR gathered on the sidewalks opposite the Hilton Hotel in Woodland Hills CA. We need to wipe out this horror before we destroy our country.
