dosage arial, sans-serif;”>I wasn’t sure until this past 4th of July weekend, if I would run for Oxnard City Council or Harbor Commissioner. Both positions are vital to the economic growth and sustainment of Oxnard and I felt I could make a positive impact in either capacities.
However, I feel more certain that the Oxnard City Council has somewhat righted itself and needs a Councilman that will stay the course of reducing expenditures, encouraging new business development, and sticking to the 2030 plan (as much as possible).
Over the past 10 years, I have continuously worked through Home Owners Associations (HOAs), the RiverPark Neighborhood Council member, as Chairman for the Oxnard City Community Relations Commission, and now as a Oxnard City Planning Commissioner, to better our city. Teamwork, commitment, and leadership are skills I developed over a 20 year military service (US Air Force retiree) and continue to motivate me to help others.
With the support and trust of my fellow Oxnard City residents, a little luck, and a lot of hard campaigning work ahead, I hope to join the City Council this November.
Respectfully,
Orlando Dozier
Oxnard City Council Candidate
