Santa Clarita, CA – The Santa Clarita Walk to End Alzheimer’s will happen this Saturday, October 2nd at Bridgeport Park. This 2-mile walk is a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association where funds raised go toward support for families and research to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease – a leading cause of death in the United States. Additionally, more than 11 million family members and friends provide care to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
With over 350 walkers registered so far, the Santa Clarita walk, like so many others in communities across the United States, represents hope for a cure. Participants will be able to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — an experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. The colors of the Promise Garden flowers represent people’s connection to Alzheimer’s — their personal reasons to walk for a cure.

Time: Walker registration begins at 8 am (Online registration at act.alz.org/scv) Opening Ceremony begins at 9 am
Location: Bridgeport Park 23670 Newhall Ranch Rd., Santa Clarita, CA
Parking: The Bridgeport parking lot will be reserved for disabled parking and vendors. Public parking will be available across Newhall Ranch Road at Real Life Church.
