Overnight Full Closures of State Route 126 in Ventura for Paving Operation
VENTURA– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced plans to fully close segments of State Route 126 (SR-126) next week for road paving operations in the city of Ventura.
From Tuesday, November 13 to Friday, November 16, the following full closures of SR-126 will be in place in the city of Ventura from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.:
- Tuesday, November 13: Eastbound from Kimball Rd. to Wells Rd.
- Wednesday, November 14: Eastbound from Kimball Rd. to Wells Rd.
- Thursday, November 15: Westbound Briggs Rd. to Wells Rd.
- Friday, November 16: Westbound and eastbound from Briggs Rd. to Wells Rd.
Closures may start and end later. All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
A signed detour will be posted for motorists who need to continue their commute on SR-126. Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes or avoid the area. Additionally, motorists can check traffic conditions before they leave by visiting the Caltrans Quickmap.
The closures are part of a road paving project on SR-126 that stretches from US-101 to Haun Creek Bridge. C.A. Rasmussen Inc. of Valencia, CA is the contractor.
