    Oxnard | Burglaries of Tomas Café and El Pollo Norteno – Suspect Arrested

    On December 1, 2019, at approximately 1:35 A.M., Oxnard Police Department Officers responded to a commercial burglary that just occurred at Tomas Café 622 S. A Street. Private security personnel witnessed a suspect leaving the business and discarding a cash register.

    When Officers arrived on scene, they began checking the area for the suspect. Suspect, 22 year old Oxnard resident, Juan Cardenas was seen running through the businesses in Heritage Square. Cardenas was contacted trying to leave the area and detained. It was at this time a second burglary was discovered at El Pollo Norteno, 715 S. Oxnard Blvd., where the cash register was also removed.

    Cash registers from both businesses were recovered at the scene. Suspect Cardenas was arrested for two counts of 459 PC – Burglary.
