    Oxnard, CA | Fentanyl Sales Arrest / Firearm Arrest

    During the month of August 2021, the Oxnard Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) began an investigation related to Nelson Rojas being involved in the sales of Fentanyl in the City of Oxnard. During the investigation, DEU developed enough probable cause to obtain a search warrant for his residence.

    With the assistance of the Property Crimes Unit (PCU) and K9 Leo, detectives served the search warrant at Rojas’ residence. K9 Leo conducted a search of the residence and alerted to a large quantity of Fentanyl in a bedroom. Additionally, over $95,000 in US Currency and two loaded firearms were located. In total, over two pounds of Fentanyl was seized during the investigation. Based on information from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the amount of Fentanyl seized calculated to over 500,000 potential lethal doses.  

     

    Nelson Rojas was arrested for felony narcotics sales charges. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail with a bail set at $250,000.
