During the investigation, DEU developed enough probable cause to obtain a search warrant for his residence.

With the assistance of members from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) and the South District Neighborhood Policing Team (NPT), DEU detectives served a search warrant at Zavala’s residence.
