Oxnard-Carjacking by knife wielding assailant

Oxnard: April 11, 2014, near midnight, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the corner of Doris Avenue and “G” Street. A carjacking victim.  told officers that he was sitting in his vehicle, a green, 1996, Toyota 4-Runner, when he approached by a Hispanic male, 6′ 2″ about 160 pounds and wearing a red flannel shirt. The suspect punched drive in the face and then attempted to stab him with a knife. The suspect told the victim to get out of the vehicle, at which time, the driver surrendered his 4-Runner. The suspect then fled in the victim’s vehicle.

The victim sustained minor cuts and bruising as a result of being punched. He was not stabbed and did not require medical treatment.
