College park Fire station 8 in its conception was corrupt because the land it was built on was deeded to the city with deed restrictions that it was to be used solely for “public park purpose in perpetuity ” but the city, under the direction of the fire chief James Williams and his union lobbied the county to change the covenants and restrictions of the deed. These changes would ultimately allow for the enrichment of a Airazona developer to the tune of millions of dollars. The whole thing was illegal from the start. All sanctioned by your city council. You lose! So what we have now is a monolith dedicated to the corruption of our city government an the fire department. After numerous requests The fire chief has never produced the data that supported the need for a station at that location! He retired before being confronted to produce it.

That is so funny how we are now going to brown-outs, because of budget cuts. Yet Oxnard can build a brand new giant fire station on the corner of Rose ave and Channel islands rd, that im sure is coating a good penny to do. Seems to me Oxnard always wants a new builing so as it can look like were growing and then leave other buildings running down, instead of improving or facelifting the ones there in. Somebodys got there head in the sand for sure. Our fire dept/rescue is thin as it is, and now you fade them even more. Wake up Oxnard, we don’t always need new things, how about just keeping the ones we have now, and stop building something new. Reinvest in our city, not build new..
