Dear Oxnard Jazz Festival Family and Friends:
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Oxnard Jazz Festival over the past 4 years.
We have heard from many of you who are eager for an update on the 5th Annual Oxnard Jazz Festival, originally scheduled for September 12 – 13, 2020 at Oxnard Beach Park. In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the public’s safety and well-being remain our top priority. Therefore, we regret to inform you that the concert will be postponed until 2021. The good news is we have already begun planning for next years festival, so please save the date and plan to join us September 10 – 12, 2021.
While this was a very challenging decision, the continued uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus, along with Governor Newsom’s announcement of the phased reopening plan for California, has prompted us to consider heavily the impact that hosting such a large gathering would have on all who attend.
Please know that the Oxnard Jazz Festival is working closely with local and state authorities to determine how to best move forward with our 2021 schedule of events amid the COVID-19 outbreak. As we transition through this rough patch and begin to focus our efforts on the future – we are grateful for your support.
The Oxnard Jazz Festival, Inc. is a small, community-based non-profit 501(c)3 organization that relies on donations, sponsorships, and ticket sales to cover our year-round operational costs. In addition, we remain committed to supporting local charities, having donated several thousand dollars to organizations including: Pets for Vets, Oxnard High School Band, and O’ My Theatre.
We thank you for understanding and respecting our NO-REFUND policy, and ALL 2020 ticket sales have been transferred to the new dates in 2021. If you have already made a ticket purchase, you can expect an updated email confirmation in the coming weeks.
On behalf of myself, and the Oxnard Jazz Festival team, we would like to thank everyone who is doing their part to flatten the curve and combat the pandemic. We wish you all good health and that you remain safe during this difficult time and look forward to seeing you in September 2021!
