Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On 2/5/21 at 1:01 AM a patrol officer observed a vehicle that had been reported stolen in the City of Oxnard. The vehicle was at a gas station and was occupied by one adult male. The officer made a safe approach with cover officers and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle as the driver was about to leave. The suspect, Spencer Brown, 48 years old, Oxnard resident, , was detained and arrested without incident. He was charged with 10851 VC unlawful driving of a vehicle and 496d(a) PC possession of a stolen vehicle.
A review of the Ventura County Superior Court website shows Brown has prior convictions for narcotic sales, transportation for sale of narcotics, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
