Andrew Rodriguez (DOB 4/4/82), of Oxnard, was charged with the murder of Alexander Benevidez, of Oxnard, which occurred on March 14, 2020. The complaint charges one count of murder and a special allegation that Rodriguez used a knife during the commission of the crime.
Rodriguez appeared in Ventura County Superior Court on March 20, 2020, for arraignment. The arraignment was continued to April 23, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 13 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Rodriguez is currently in custody with bail set at $1,000.000.
