Oxnard outreach on: budget crisis tonight (12-15), utilities rate increase Thursday 12-17

Last week, Oxnard city staff, auditors and consultants had an extraordinary meeting of its Fiscal Policy Task Force, where they talked and strategized on Oxnard’s severe financial problems.Task force Chair Councilman Bryan MacDonald facilitated a very free and open discussion.

Last week’s City Council meeting addressed that, as another one will Tuesday 12-15-15 at 5 pm in City Council Chambers.

 

On Wednesday, 12-17-15 at 6 pm, Oxnard’s utilities and the proposed utility rate increases, which you can now vote on, will be addressed at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, Ventura Room, 800 Hobson Way.

On Thursday, December 17, the City of Oxnard will host a Community Conversation about the City’s utility services to answer questions residents may have as a result of the recent notice of Proposed Utility Rate Increases. The purpose of the meeting is to provide residents and businesses with direct access to the City staff who work at each utility on a daily basis, and provide a significant amount of time for questions and answers. We hope that you’ll join us.
