Oxnard PD arrest Man On Weapons Violations — In Possession of Sawed Off Shotgun

On February 18, 2017, at about 11:50 p.m., an Oxnard police officer conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Juanita Avenue and Martin Luther Kind Drive for a traffic violation. During his investigation it was determined that both the driver and the passenger didn’t have a valid driver’s license. As the officer was conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, he located an illegally modified (sawed off) and loaded shotgun. The passenger, Luis Alfaro, admitted to being the owner of the shotgun.
Alfaro was arrested and later booked into the Ventura County Jail for various weapon violations. The driver was issued a citation and released at the scene.
