Oxnard PD look for leads in fatal Saturday night stabbing
sale arial, sale sans-serif;”>On Saturday, January 16, 2016, at approximately 11pm, Oxnard police officers responded to a fight heard in the 1400 block of Gina Drive. While enroute to the emergency call, the officers were notified that a person had been stabbed. Emergency Medical Services and police officers arrived on scene and located the male victim. The victim was placed in an ambulance and transported to the Ventura County Medical Center. Despite the lifesaving efforts of the medical staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died.
Preliminary investigation indicates that subjects were involved in an altercation that led to the stabbing. Investigators were notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation. The investigation is continuing.
The City of Oxnard offers a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect(s) in homicide cases. There are numerous ways to provide information to the Oxnard Police Department:
