Oxnard Police nab drivers under the influence at DUI Checkpoint
cheap times;”>On Saturday April 26, 2014, between the hours of 8:00 P.M. and 3:00 A.M., officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted two DUI/Driver’s license checkpoints. The first checkpoint was conducted in the southbound lanes of Saviers Road south of Bryce Canyon Avenue and the second checkpoint was conducted in eastbound lanes of Channel Islands Boulevard east of Peninsula Road.
Officers screened 538 motorists who passed through the checkpoints and conducted four DUI investigations on drivers who had been drinking alcohol and/or using drugs while driving. All four drivers were arrested for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Another driver was arrested for being in possession of narcotics and driving on a suspended driver’s license. Five additional drivers were also issued citations for driving on a suspended driver’s license.
Citations were issued to eight drivers for various vehicle code violations. Twelve drivers were issued citations for driving without a valid driver’s license, and 12 vehicles were towed from the checkpoint.
The Oxnard Police Department will continue to conduct DUI enforcement operations this year. These DUI operations are an effort to reduce the number of alcohol related crashes and to make our roadways and community safer. We also remind people that if they see an impaired driver to dial 911. These DUI enforcement operations are funded by grants from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Strange. This illegal search turned up no illegal aliens at all in the heart of Oxnard. Obama must be doing a most excellent job in guarding our borders, if Allah wills it. I believe that state and/or federal grant money pays for these unconstitutional fishing expeditions.
