Oxnard Police Department – Incident Press Release
On Friday, August 21, 2020, Oxnard Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 600 block of W. Hueneme Road, regarding a traffic violation. During the stop, officers learned that one of the passengers, Ramon Aguilar, is a Post Release Offender for firearm related offenses. Aguilar was found to be in possession of a loaded and concealed 9mm handgun, which was not registered to him.
Ramon Aguilar is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm. Aguilar was arrested for several firearms related violations including, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a loaded firearm in a school zone.
