Fernando Jarquin (DOB 05/30/84), has been charged with the murder of Karla Cabrera, of Oxnard. The complaint charges one count of murder with a special allegation that Jarquin personally used a knife in the commission of the crime.
Ms. Cabrera was living with Jarquin and their two young children at the time of the murder. On May 21, 2021, Ms. Cabrera was fatally stabbed after an argument between her and Jarquin. Ms. Cabrera died that same evening.
Jarquin appeared in court on May 26, and continued his arraignment to June 10, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Jarquin is currently in custody in the Ventura County Jail with no bail.
