Classrooms are being designed to support 21st century 360-degree learning environments allowing educational content to be wirelessly broadcasted and shared instantly from stationary and the popularly growing handheld computing devices.  This Oxnard-based class will be the benchmark in teaching Kindergarten -5th grade students and will not only inspire other Ventura County based educational establishment but schools nationally.

An approximate 700 students were in attendance along with their supportive families and friends.  All in attendance shared in this very high energy and spirited event.  On a comical note, Elm School Principal, Leticia Q. Ramos asked her teachers and staff to stand for recognition purposes.  All at once, every student stood at the same time as their adult leaders.  Now that is the new empowered student thinking.  Hey, students should believe they are staff too.  The even more impress part was Principal Ramos allowed them to continuing stand.  What a great experience!

Measure “R” authorized the sale of up to $90,000,000 in bonds by the District to finance school facilities.

Also, in attendance was the Oxnard School District Board of Trustees along with representatives from Congresswomen Julia Brownley and California State Senate Hannah-Beth Jackson office.
