    Oxnard | Stabbing – Suspect is 14 Years Old

    On January 2, 2020 at approximately 7:00 A.M., Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) and the K-9 Unit, served a search warrant in the 1000 block of West Ninth Street. The search warrant was related to stabbing that occurred on December 20th, 2019, in front of a residence in the 500 block of Wolff Street.

    In that incident, the residents came out of their house and found several suspects attempting to steal their vehicle. The residents attempted to remove the suspects from the vehicle. While attempting to do so, one of the suspects produced a knife and cut one of the residents. A female juvenile suspect was detained at the scene however, the other suspects, including the suspect who stabbed the resident, fled the scene.  

    During the course of the investigation, investigators were able to identify the primary suspect, a 14 year old Oxnard resident. During the service of the search warrant, the juvenile was contacted at the residence and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation is ongoing.
