Oxnard | Vehicle Pursuit and Child Endangerment Arrest

Oxnard Police Department Incident Press Release

    Yanualia “Jenny” Anguiano

On Thursday, February 27, 2020, officers attempted to stop a silver Cadillac that was driving at a high rate of speed on Gonzales Road near Oxnard Boulevard.  When the officers activated their emergency lights and sirens the vehicle slowed but the driver, later identified as 36-year-old Oxnard Resident Yanualia “Jenny” Anguiano, refused to pull over.  Anguiano continued driving until she reached the parking lot of Sierra Linda Elementary School at 2201 Jasmine Street.

When Anguiano was removed from her vehicle it was discovered that she was transporting a 10-year-old juvenile in the backseat.  Anguiano was arrested for felony evading, reckless driving, and child endangerment.  The school was placed on lockdown during the arrest.
