Working towards a better future,
Has anyone considered the local Churches for this purpose? In Thousand Oaks, many of the Churches have joined hands to provide winter shelter, taking turns as to which day is your turn in the week.
At my Church, we provide an evening meal, a bed and a bagged lunch for the following day. We have rules of no alcohol or drugs on the premises. We also [provide s security guard and the doors are closed for the evening. If you leave the building, you’re not allowed back in. SO, there has to be rules applied, but it’s a great way to show your Christian love.
