Pleasant Valley Historical Society Presents Bee and Butterfly Day

The Pleasant Valley Historical Society will have its annual Bee & Butterfly Day on Sunday July 14 from 1 to 4 PM.  The event takes place at the Charles L. Honn Botanical Garden at 720 Las Posas Road in Camarillo.  This is a family friendly event and the Garden and Museum are open to the public without charge.

Anna D. Howell, an entomologist working in the local agricultural industry, will speak about bees. Anna earned her M.S. degree from the University of Arizona and has done research in the Sonoran Desert focused on conservation biology and the behavior of native bees.  She has developed pollinator training for the National Parks Service, planted pollinator gardens for the Fish and Wildlife Service, and has consulted with organic farms on planting hedgerows.

For further information, see www.pvhsonline.org or contact [email protected] or phone 805-482-3660.  The Pleasant Valley Historical Society is dedicated to serving the community by preserving and presenting the history of the Pleasant Valley area.
