POLITICALLY INCORRECT ZONE: The Lawless Driver’s License

Most of you reading this know by now that the California Department of Motor Vehicles is currently issuing drivers licenses to illegal aliens in the state. But as of January 1, state DMV offices have been ordered to overlook cases of identity theft by illegal aliens who are attempting to get their drivers licenses. This has been verified by Breitbart news, which has an internal DMV memo ordering these activities.

While identity theft in California is a felony offense for the rest of us, illegals trying for a drivers license are prime candidates for Obama’s “executive amnesty” program, which could be one reason why DMV has ordered its employees to look the other way for the crimes. But one cannot help to wonder how far amnesty backers are willing to go in support of their program.

Whether it’s lawmakers in Washington or Sacramento, the willingness to ignore one law after another in order to enact amnesty seems limitless. Moving beyond the fact that illegal aliens are here illegally… there are all kinds of special Federal and state benefits granted to illegal aliens that other poor Americans never get. And then there are drivers licenses; in-state (subsidized) college tuition in many states; free health care; “mock” immigration hearings with return dates where no one expects to see them again, and no one follows up and even looks for them as fugitives of the law. And then there are the Feds unleashing the dogs on any state that tries to tighten up its border with Mexico, either physically or with stricter laws.

Whatever your position is on borders and immigration, we can all agree that our government’s actions related to immigration can best be described as lawless. And as a reminder, the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution mandates that individuals in similar situations be treated equally under the law. Would the DMV in California turn a blind eye to the apparent identity theft of a legal citizen trying to get his or her drivers license? The answer is “no,” they wouldn’t, and a legal citizen would be arrested, and face felony conviction… now a clear 14th Amendment violation.

So what are “We the People” to do when our government turns on us, as they now have? The Justice Department won’t investigate blatant criminal acts by the White House or its agencies; the media won’t expose wrongdoings by the lawmakers that they favor; and congress not only won’t stop the lawlessness – it’s FUNDING IT!
