The good news is that we have an early, unauthorized, leaked copy of Pope Francis’ new climate change encyclical. The bad news is that it’s in Italian and our translator is on vacation. Have at it: http://speciali.espresso.repubblica.it/pdf/laudato_si.pdf

It’s not clear whether this is one of those “infallible” encyclical pronouncements. But the Pope’s already said that warming is a great catastrophe and that we’re causing it.

The Secular Progressive Globalists who are pushing this the hardest laugh at the Pope when he nixes the sins they are so fond of and call Jesus Christ a “fictional character.” But they fawn all over him when he agrees on Global Warming and Marxist economic policies, neither of which he and his ecclesiastical experts know much useful about.

Our journalist credentials haven’t been accepted by the Vatican yet, so we’ll have to be content with commentary and links for now …

The Vatican says leaking the document was a “heinous” crime. I guess that must a be a mortal sin to burn in hell for, which is what the encyclical might say about AGW “deniers,” when it is translated. Top level spokesmen (They never seem to be women) for the Vatican have advocated a world population reduction of 90% and a world government, so Francis’ recommendations later this week might prove interesting.
 
I hope he doesn’t further undermine the credibility/authority of The Church by making Al Gore-like predictions. According to the warmers, the room I’m writing this in was supposed to be underwater today. But credible dissenters– and actual results – contradict that.
