Port Hueneme Water Agency board removes Hensley, Figg, Replaces with Sharkey, Schnopp, in response to PH Council coup

viagra order arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>The big news at the Port Hueneme Water Authority Board meeting was its removal of Chair Jim Hensley and Board Member Tom Figg and replacement with new Chair Jon Sharkey and Board Member Sylvia Munoz-Schnopp. This was in response to the PH City Council coup last week, when Hensley and Figg were stripped of all commission responsibilities. All names mentioned here so far are on the City of Port Heuneme Council, with Schnopp the current Mayor.

This was the result of a major power struggle which has gone on since the 2014 election campaign, when a major upset occurred. Hensley and Figg prevailed on some major issues during the campaign, including defeating the proposed Measure “M” business tax, replacing two existing councilmen and getting more votes than anyone else on the Council.

Since then, they have been in opposition to the “Old Guard” majority. Both sides have traded accusations of improper behavior or worse. Read more about it in some of our past articles …

Great coverage, George. Makes you wonder if Schopps and Breeze expect to retain their own seat when their term ends.
